InterChez Properties, LLC offers in-kind donation of office space for one year
Stow, OH – The Community Job Club, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has recently relocated to the Stratford Place office building at 4301 Darrow Road, Suite 2550 in Stow. The owners of Stratford Place and InterChez Properties, LLC, Mark and Sharlene Chesnes, have offered a 350 square-foot office space along with meeting room access as an in-kind donation to the group for one year. The office officially opened and held its first job seekers’ workshop of the year on Thursday, January 12. The organization had previously been meeting at the Stow Community United Church of Christ for the past two years.
With the new office space, Executive Director Diana Miller is planning to expand services to assist job seekers with their job search efforts. Currently, two free workshops are offered on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month that address a range of job search topics such as resume development, cover letter writing, effective networking, interview preparation, salary negotiation and many other related subjects.
In the future, Miller would like to offer additional services on a sliding fee scale to allow for more in-depth, one-on-one consultations as well as a structured curriculum for small groups known as Job Search U. The next free workshop will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 7pm to 9pm.
Miller says that the Community Job Club has made great strides in assisting job seekers since its inception in April 2010. “We’d never be where we are today, without the tremendous support of our volunteers and the community,” she stated.
